Think of Trevor Bauer as Your Own Flesh & Blood Son, Now Look at His Scenario Again.

Today is January 30th, 2024, and most of society sees Trevor Bauer as a disrespectful punk who got banned from Major League Baseball for sexually assaulting women. Rewind time almost exactly 3 years ago and he was on top of the world signing a $100M contract with the Dodgers after a CY Young Award winning season with the Cincinnati Reds the year prior.

He's currently searching for a job as a pitcher in the MLB after completing his one year deal with the Yokohama DeNa Baystars of the Nippon Professional Baseball league in Japan; typically a place where major leaguers go to die. Nobody in the majors is showing any interest in him and a few teams have outspokenly said that he's too much of a risk toward their reputations.

So what happened? He was placed on administrative leave by the MLB in July of 2021 after a woman (Lindsey Hill) accused him of sexual assault on two separate occasions during their ongoing "consensual relationship". Bauer immediately denied all allegations. Two more women hopped on the bandwagon and accused him of similar charges which came to no shock to anyone as the "me too" movement has now rapidly become a trend in the celebrity world. After months of supposed investigating, the MLB then suspended Bauer for 2 full seasons; making it the largest suspension in MLB history. The league (Robert Manfred) didn't just try and make a statement; it instantly made Trevor Bauer the posterchild of male athletes who sexually abuse women.

Following the 324 game suspension, the Dodgers released him of his contract, publicly stating “The Dodgers organization believes that allegations of sexual assault or domestic violence should be thoroughly investigated, with due process given to the accused. From the beginning, we have fully cooperated with Major League Baseball’s investigation and strictly followed the process stipulated under MLB’s Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy. Two extensive reviews of all the available evidence in this case – one by Commissioner Manfred and another by a neutral arbitrator – concluded that Mr. Bauer’s actions warranted the longest ever active player suspension in our sport for violations of this policy. Now that this process has been completed, and after careful consideration, we have decided that he will no longer be part of our organization."

The Dodgers say they were "careful" with their consideration of releasing their $100M arm, despite zero verdict in an actual court of justice. This is the same team who invited a group of "transgendered" adults who mock Catholic nuns to represent the organization during "pride night", then un-invited them after certain scrutiny, to then re-inviting them after persuasion from the LBGTQ community and mainstream media.

Unfortunately for Bauer, the majority of society read the headlines from NBC, CBS and ESPN, did no homework or critical thinking of their own, and followed suit with the "popular" opinion. Trevor Bauer was suddenly a household name to those who don't even follow baseball, let alone sports in general. Parents were inherently telling their kids "don't be like Trevor Bauer" and proudly denouncing him to their friends, rallying with the general public in hopes that he would never sign with another team again. They laughed at him when he signed with a team in Japan and wished ill-will on his future efforts.

Now imagine if this was all happening to your own flesh and blood son. One day, your kid is the best pitcher in baseball, he signs a mega-contract with a dominant franchise and is being looked up to by many young fans, and the next day he's public enemy number one. He comes to you and says "Mom, dad, everything is a lie. I would never put my hands on a woman like that." You'd assumingly believe him, knowing that you yourself also did not raise a young man who would do that sort of thing. You would go to the ends of the earth to fight and stand up for your son, knowing that he's completely innocent of all wrongdoing.

Accusing someone of sexual assault is one of the worst and most serious things anyone can accuse someone of. So why would all of society blindly hop on board the "let's ban this guy from baseball and make a fool of him" train before any type of actual evidence was found or any verdict from a court? Well, you could say the answer to that is why America is currently facing so many problems to this day. Almost everyone is so quick to judge and has no desire to do any critical thinking of their own. So where do we stand now?

Trevor Bauer was not found guilty of any wrongdoing and actually filed a countersuit for defamation of character (which was later dropped). Not only was there zero evidence of any sexual abuse, but rather the opposite; evidence was revealed that Lindsey Hill (his accuser) intentionally falsely accused him of these allegations in a money-hungry scheme. She was caught texting her friend "next victim; star pitcher for the Dodgers." She sent that text before ever meeting Bauer in the first place. After spending the night with Bauer she then texted her friend "net worth is 51 mil" to which her friend responded "bitch you better secure the bag!" Lindsey followed with "need daddy to choke me out, being an absolute WHORE to try and get in on his 51 million." Bauer thought he was having a genuine relationship with someone who in actuality had a target on his back since day one.

A video of her smirking to the camera the morning after the "assault" was made available shortly after the allegations. Bauer rightfully refused to give her a cent from the start. Bauer was found innocent upon everything thrown at him.

That man is still a free agent as of today. He's still being mocked and frowned upon by society. Lindsey Hill is walking around as a free woman. If she falsely accused your own son of all of that, destroyed his career, and turned the world against him; would you still consider her a law-abiding citizen? Or would you perhaps expect charges to be placed on her? Falsely accusing someone of sexual abuse should be a crime in and of itself with a rightful sentence of its own if you ask many. What would you do if this happened to one of your own kids?

Any team right now could sign Trevor Bauer, a 98mph fastball CY Young Award winner, at the league minimum of $740,000. Why hasn't anyone signed him yet?

Slainte.
