Price of a Guinness: $7 | Overall Score: 8.05

A cozy pub with 2 fireplaces and 2 Steel Tip dart boards. The wall decor is authentic, it's well lit, they have a great selection of whiskey with over 10 beers on tap. It's hard to find an Irish Pub like this one. It has the vast majority of everything you could want in an Irish Pub, although it's on a weird street in the city and depending on how full it is the parking can be a bitch. They also don't take any cash. I'm always baffled that there are business owners out in this world that refuse to take cash. Another gripe is that if you go too late in the evening, sometimes the crowd turns into the annoying preppy college feel. That's not all the time though, so don't think that this place is by any means a "college bar". You won't have anything to worry about if you go during a weekday, especially before the sun goes down.

I didn't have any of the popcorn but it looked tasty and well kept. It would be a fantastic place for NFL Sundays as they have TVs on every wall. The TVs are nice and spread apart to where it's not "too much". The bar itself holds about 18 people and the rest of the bar has a very well constructed standing area.

People were playing the jukebox so you'll have to find out yourself what type of music the bartenders typically put on when opening up the place. The whiskey selection is fantastic and the bartender gave an average pour of Guinness.

One major thing to be said about this place is how wonderfully put together the patio is. It's obvious that the owner cares about their curb appeal and how beautiful their patio is. It's enclosed, it has many healthy plants, and it has a great deal of space. Another great thing to say about this place is that not one person at the bar counter (it was rather full) was staring at their phone. Everyone was talking to each other and the atmosphere was welcoming.

The people that luck out the most about this place are the people that live very close by. As great of a pub that it is, it's in a spot in town that few people would be willing to drive 20 minutes for (maybe that's what makes this place so fantastic...). It gets a recommendation from me along with a lovely score of 8.05.
